But Grammie Hammie chose Sylvanus Dunham, likely her most direct ancestor who fought. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-pdfemb-pdf-embedder-viewer\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quoting from her application:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Sylvanus Dunham was a Private in Capt.
